Although every website we create undergoes our proprietary 30-point checklist at launch to ensure proper performance, once we hand it off to you, site maintenance becomes your responsibility.

Because we recognize that many of our clients don’t feel comfortable with this responsibility, we created the HandBuiltBrand’s Website Assurance Program.

Designed to be a turnkey protection service for your online presence, the Web Assurance Program frees you and/or your in-house IT team to concentrate on your day-to-day operations while knowing your WordPress site is up-to-date and secure.

We can oversee your user accounts and implement two-step verification, password lockers, and encryption.

We set your site files and database to backup securely to the cloud every 24 hours to a trusted storage provider.

Regular updates

We monitor WordPress releases and promptly install all needed software and plugin security updates.

QA program

After each upgrade, we will follow set protocols for verifying site functionality to guard against any unforeseen errors.

3 hours per quarter of support

In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, we set aside extra time during normal business hours to perform maintenance or communicate about your site as you see fit.

Over the course of your enrollment, we will also make recommendations regarding your hosting plan, caching system, and/or content delivery network to ensure you’re getting the best performance possible.

Why You Need Website Assurance

WordPress powers 40% of the world’s websites. That kind of popularity makes it a target for bad actors; after all, why waste time devising a hack into a niche CMS when you can create one that attacks nearly half the sites on the web.

What we do through our Assurance Program is ensure your software is up to date so that you have the latest security updates and patches against known vulnerabilities in place.

This needs to be done on a regular basis, which is where many site owners miss the mark as they’re preoccupied with the demands of running their businesses. We also install security plugins we use.

Backing up the site continually is also crucial, as accidental deletion of critical resources such as plugins, files, pieces of content, and user profiles is one of the most common causes of WordPress problems. Without the assurance plan, you’ll need to know both how to perform backups and restore them when necessary.

Finally, although we do our best to assist both active and former clients with site help requests, those not enrolled in the Program are helped on a first-come, first-served basis.

This could mean a longer wait time than might be advisable, depending on the severity of the situation. It could also result in a need to bill you for time spent beyond your allotment under your current agreement.
