“2 Cor 12 – ‘Strong when Weak’”

We created this kinetic typography video to help a friend who was giving a sermon for the first time. She wanted to use this verse that Paul wrote in 2nd Corinthians, verse 12.

To my knowledge, it’s the last time that we see “red letter Jesus” words in the Bible. Paul says that he had “a thorn” in his flesh. And he pleaded in prayer three times for it to be taken from him.

And Jesus said to Paul, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is made perfect in weakness.” (NIV)

I like the New Living Translation which is: “My Grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” (NLT)

So, as Paul always did, he goes all in. “I delight in my weaknesses, my hardships, my sufferings … for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Weaknesses as a Gift? Sounds “un-American.” It’s the type of Message that the ultimate Teacher wants us to show to the rest of the world.

Delight in your gifts. Nothing is a shortcoming. You are perfect as He intended you to be.
